My sister spent a few years in Bellingham, WA, about an hour and a half north of Seattle and liked it a lot. Upon my visits there always had a good time and if it weren't for all the gray skies I wouldn't mind living there.

Just come on down for some Southern Hospitality. Our cats are also FRIENDLY AND NICE;>) LOL Maybe just a Southern Thang;>) LOL

Shelby, by far out of all the places I have been and lived, the South is definitely the most hospitable! I used to get so irritated when people would always try to get in my business but now I realize it's not so bad ;) It's better than the opposite and everyone not caring about others! Hah!
I remember people used to wave at me too in the South... I used to make extra money weaving and dyeing white oak baskets. It's just so different. Bring on the cholesterol and "y'all" and "youns" drawls :)

See I haven't really been up that way... I live past Seattle in North Bend.... It's a small town, people are a little...squirrely....
And I try to avoid Seattle like the plague :)
Man the gray skies.... They get old. Some don't mind it, but I find it a bit depressing.... It is gray and rainy and kinda cold except for 2-3 months out of the year... I am one of those that does not like that! I'm considering getting one of those lights for my place to simulate sunshine... :/

When my sister switched jobs and moved from Bellingham to Kirkland outside of Seattle, I think she made it about a year and a half and headed back home. A lot of the fun had dried up and it was lot different than the little fishing town up north she left.

You small city folks just don't understand what all that damn caffeine does to the folks in Seattle. What did you expect with more Starbucks than Boston has Dunkin Donuts?

I say this as I am making great northern bean and ham soup, southern style!
