Yes about the enclosure! We are hoping that the panels will arrive sometime next week. In the meanwhile, I have cleaned and refinished the deck that the enclosure will sit on. The wood is mangaris so it needs to be refinished every 2 years to look nice and it will be many years before we can do the catio portion again! We have only purchased a few cat shelves and a hammock as we want to see exactly what the whole thing looks like before buying more. We have cat-safe plants to place in front of it to block the sun and hopefully prevent the wild animals from spraying into the enclosure. I am also looking into what plants we can have inside - blocks of turf? other plants? The roof will have to be a plastic tarp (over the mesh) until I can find someone to sew the sunbrella cover. And yes, in case you cannot tell, I am very excited about the new catio. Any and all advice would be appreciated!!!
This really sounds like a nice enclosure that you are building but be ready soon you will have your Savannah's telling you ,we want outside , at the crack of dawn, Savannah's spoil fast and they want it their way , here is a picture I just took from the kitchen window of the enclosure they love. window screen is in the way. That enclosure is nice... Thinking about something like that for Elsa when I get my new house... Looks like your 2 are lounging out more than playing... Good day for it.
The boy's were playing and they stopped for a break and that's the only time I can get a good picture, let me know John when you build Elsa's enclosure , she will love it especially if there is a playmate in it. My enclosure was under $1000 total and that includes labor, I just designed it, there is no upkeep to the enclosure unless you put a pond in , also the frogs that were in the pond are gone, Camille has learned how to catch them ,she walks to the pond and the frogs jump in and she lays down and waits for them to surface and when one gets close speed rules, she can hook them before they can dive . Any people here that have a outdoor enclosure please post a picture, big or small Savannah's love the outdoors , I know not all Savannah owners can build a outdoor enclosure but our F2 kitten will wear a walking jacket and it's the second best thing in my opinion , Casey had a Vet app. this week and after that I went to Pet Smart for some Evo kitten food, my Savannah car is a late model corvette so in the hot sun 2 seaters get hot fast and I took Casey inside and was asked , is that a leopard *kitten ? he liked the birds and tried to get out of the cart, I checked out fast before Casey ran my bill up

We took Rafiki to Petco last week thinking that it would be a treat. It was not! First the drive freaked her out (also in a late model vette!). By the time we got there, she was shaking. She had zero interest I the birds, mice or lizards. It was early so there was hardly any activity but she was just so freaked out that it didn't matter. So much for her special outing!

Casey is a bold kitten but I never thought a F2 kitten would be so social and friendly . red is a 6 SPEED 6.2 litter LT3 2008 12000 MILES DSCN0491.JPG
