SVs that "bury" their food?

Keljin likes to hide his DISH when he is done. He is on portion control, because he eats himself into sickness if I leave open food. When he finishes his meal, I hear this "scooch, scooch, squeeek" noise on the bathroom floor as the pushes his food dish around the floor (the rubber bottom makes the noise on the floor), and behind the toilet... his favorite hiding place, he wants to make sure no one else can have his bowl lol! I have watched him do this many times, its so funny how carefully he pushes it with his paw, he knows just how to move it.

I think I read that they try and bury food in the wild to keep away predators AND to hide it for later when they are hungry.

Mine tend to bring their toys to the feed bowl too... I like to think it is them doing the kitty version of playing with their dolls and pretending they are having a tea party :)

I've noticed Kovu doing this, but only since we finally found a raw food he'll eat. lol Well, he only gets fed inside, so he can't really cover it up. But he covers it up with invisible dirt on the floor. haha I'm like Errr, Kovu, you know that your not doing anything but scraping at the wooden floor, right?
