SV's the ultimate bug catchers...

My sister is PETRIFIED of moths and one came in the house. She started calling for Zeddie, so Zeddie saunters over and starts lightly batting the moth. She did that for about a minute (amongst my sister's horrified shrieks) and then just picks up the moth and eats it. Done. Ate it alive

Mystique loves to go after any bug or flying insect on the wall and ceiling. Doesn't matter if the ceiling is not reachable. She will find a way! We are often used as spring boards to reach her destination.

When we first brought her home, we had an ant army march through. Well Mystique tried to catch the ants and thought it was fun to eat them, till she got one stuck between her bottom teeth and got pinched. We couldn't keep her still to get the ant out from her teeth for about a half hour. Now she wont touch an ant and walks on by like they are allowed to be here?

The other day we had her out camping and she was on her leash. She spotted something in the moss and began springing into the air. I bet she thought it was an ant?

I HATE bugs. But my SVs have been catching them left and right and I have been trying to get to the bug before they eat them while swallowing my absolute hate for these bugs. Best thing is that they're like an alarm system. We hear this primal chirping and every time they're staring down and ready to pounce on some bug in the house.

We recently took a picture off the wall and the black head of a nail was left in the wall about 8-9 feet up. A couple nights ago we hear the chirping and looked over just in time to see her leap off the couch and slide down the wall with all four paws splayed aiming to catch the "bug". It was very cute... and we vowed never to leave nails in the wall unattended as we now have claw marks in the drywall.

Kovu is constantly chasing down & eating bugs outside! If he finds the occasional one inside he'll go crazy trying to get it out of his home! Lol

LOL my cat gets kinda bored being the only cat and recently discovered the joys of bugs and hunting them :) it provides lots of entertainment (for her and us!) but she almost jumped out my door tonight when she saw a moth flying in my porch light!! :) moths are her favorite!

Chongo was gracious enough to bring me a bug yesterday, an inch and half long Ivory Spotted Beetle. After dropping it near my feet he just stood there looking at me. Letting out a sigh followed by an "oh crap" he picked up gave it another crunch then dropped it again. Not sure if he thought I should eat it or toss it so we could play fetch with it. Either way, that was the end of the bug encounter and I flushed his little friend.

BTW, by the time the bug had been brought to my attention it no longer had legs or antennae but assuredly was still alive. That Chongo is certainly pretty sadistic and I might need to seek out a therapist for him.
