Not yet. The test they ran today is one you read in exactly 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, it had 1 dot(which is good). But 2 minutes later.. The FeLV dot popped up. That's why she's having them do a few tests on his blood. But all his symptoms add up to it and since he's so young, it explains why it showed up so fast- his immune system can't fight it off like a strong adult cat's would.

From what she said and my personal research(a few moments worth so far), there is no real treatment. Just making them comfortable and happy while they die.

I really hope they are. No, Teuks has not bonded yet.. But I am so in love with this cat.
I feel terrible for him.. He just seems so miserable. He use to want to play with his ball(round thing with cardboard center, ball around it) or feather bell all the time.. Now he just looks at them sadly. Like he wants to play badly, but can't. All he can do is lay down.
I know you love him. I saw it in your eyes when you picked him up in Sept. All I can say is I am praying and sending both of you love and energy. <3

So the thing is...there are a lot of false positives with these tests and one must be sure...was Teukie vaccinated against FeLV? Do you have outdoor cats at all?

The vet likely performed an IDEXX combo test. Sounds like s/he is covering all the bases by sending out samples for immunoflourescent assay. False positives occur when a cat has been exposed to the virus with successful immune system response.
