Praying for false reading. I had a DSH diagnosed who ended up living 18 Years. Obviously wrong diagnosis.

All night he kept going into extremely hard to reach places and hide.. Like he's dying. Mom put him in the bathroom last night and gave him some water. This morning he is breathing very fast and is gurgly sounding. We'll be heading to the vet again here soon I think.. But I don't think anything is looking good right now and I have made myself sick from crying.

I know too well what it means when an animal hides like that.. I don't have WiFi at the vet so I probably won't be updating for a few hours..

The diagnosis could be wrong and he may just need a lot of care and support... Iv therapy, medication, etc... I'm surprised he didn't stay at the vet for that type of treatment... FeLV is a pretty serious diagnosis...the only way for a kitten to get it is either from another cat that has it or from birth, I believe ... I don't get it... It is why I asked you whether you had outside cats, but never got an answer... Is he getting fluids? Anything else? Is the diagnosis definitive? I feel so badly for this baby and you... But don't give up on him... I have had cats come back from a death sentence... And yes, it is expensive, but that is the way it is... He should stay at the vet for supportive care.... He is probably breathing fast because he is dehydrated...

An animal hides when it is not feeling well... Does not have to mean it is dying...
