Atticus Atticus Atticus. Maybe instead of slapping mom or dad when they try to take things from you, you should just growl at them... Regulus does that when he is upset. It works.

I just left yesterday on a 10-day business trip and Ziggy apparently slapped Carolyn on both sides of her face...he really misses me. He goes around the house pawing at doors looking for me and is just generally sullen and crabby.

That makes me sad. That tight bond is the primary reason I gave so much thought to getting an F1. When I'm gone for a short trip, he's ok with the sitter. But when I'm gone for a couple weeks, he turns into a crabby bully and his strength and size are intimidating. I started to think that I wouldn't be able to do our annual European vacay anymore. Can't risk him hurting the sitter. And if I lose this sitter, it might be impossible to find someone that he'll accept and who won't be intimidated by him when he's in brat mode. The bonding, and the potential problems it may bring, is something I urge everyone who is considering a high generation SV to consider.

I know Regulus in not as high gen as your kids, but an F2 still has a bit of the close bonding thing. Regie is so close to me. He will go wild wanting love even being shut out of my room overnight. SVs...gotta love 'em

Agreed--both of you. And I love Ziggy dearly. I hate bringing him pain. I wish I could just take him with me. But he's not a good traveler.

And I can just imagine his antics as I try to give a class...

Well, I guarantee that the students would pay attention.....but it would not be to you and what you are teaching!
