You people are heartless. Here I am, sprained right wrist, missing several layers of skin on left hand, huge bruise on left hip and likely a mild concussion and you're saying I'm to blame for savandalism? Note that I have not complained nor have I blamed Atticus for being Atticus. May a rain of purple frogs fall upon you all.

..... Sorry to hear of your distress. I do hope you heal quick.
However, if you wouldn't mind..... perhaps you might indulge a good portion of the readers of the Atticus Diaries, as to how your unfortunate injuries occurred?

Well first let me be VERY CLEAR THAT I WAS COMPLETELY SOBER AT THE TIME. I got a package out of the mailbox, misstepped, tripped over the curb and went down like a load of bricks. It happened so fast my life didn't have time to flash before my eyes. I didn't even realize how injured my left hand was until I wobbled home (mailbox is down the street) and found the mail to be sopping wet with this red stuff that turned out to be my blood. I have bruises all along my left side. Alan was out of town and I was too discombobulated to call a friend for assistance so I cleaned myself up, opened a bottle of fine Portuguese wine and I think I watched the 3rd presidential debate.

Debbie, I am so sorry to hear that you have done yourself such a misery. I truly hope you heal quickly and have no lasting effects. Don't take this wrong, (I must think of this daily...) but as we get older, we have to be a lot more attentive as to where we walk, and how we carry ourselves.. Our reflexes DO slow down. We do not want Atticus to have to care for his human more that he already is. Love ya Witchy. :in love:

Oh damn Deb!
I hope you consulted your in house expert about your injuries. I'm sure I speak for all of us readers, get well soon!.

Cary, don't give her crap about her age. Sh*t happens and you might not be so on top of your game when you have that spotted terrorist Atticus lurking and looking for anarchy running loose in your house.

(yeah, you read that right. RD is taking Witchy's side on this one!)

that spotted terrorist Atticus
The supreme irony of course is that all 4 of the SVs try to take me down to the floor on a daily basis -- what with the ambush head butting and body slamming and winding their way around my ankles. I think I've forgotten how to walk like a normal human.

You will note that I did say " I must think of this daily..." I am MUCH older than Witchy and so I am ONLY giving advise. Yes, Sh*t does happen, but in MY experience it is because we are not paying attention quite as well as we could be. And remember RD, I have some spotted anarchists around too.

On the bright side, at least Atticus wasn't to blame. Actually, I think he was helping you out by padding the floor with tp so you had a soft landing if you tripped in the bathroom. Such a sweet, innocent spotted angel.
