He arrived with injury. As soon as they brought him off the plane I could see that he was squinting. I was hoping it was due air conditions in cargo. Unfortunately it turned out to be a tear on the cornea that I'm convinced happened due to how his crate was handled during the trip. He didn't have the injury when he left the breeder. It was a pretty long but shallow tear and thankfully it healed after 2 weeks of eyedrops.

I am so sorry to hear that this happened... Even though fully healed, it is something he will have to live forever, but it could have been A LOT worse... At least he can see... I hope the airline or transport company did something for you as they were obviously negligent.

That's exactly why I'm driving to Alabama to get Jax! I don't trust cargo handlers!! Even if they reimbursed me if something happened to him,,,,,,I would be heartbroken. Just saying.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I picked up my other three but it wasn't possible to do it with Atticus. You've got a bit over a month before he comes homes, right? So exciting.
