The law on Savannah's

Sigh, that definitely sounds like a scam. Anytime someone wants to place but has to use a service to deliver them and you pay that service... red flags are waving hard!

It's horrible that these scammers use terminal illnesses as an excuse to rush you to a decision and hope to prevent someone to do proper research. It's wrong but we have to remember to retain a little cynicism, enough to google a name or ask questions.

Connecting flights do not stop and seize animals. Our Rescue once shipped a Savannah via Atlanta that in reality we were sure was a Serval. The flight got delayed and it missed its connection. We worried that because Savannahs are illegal in Georgia that there might be an issue, but they didn't question it. The cat was "in transit" hence not subject to their laws.

Jadestarlite, I am so sorry this happened. I hope you were not scammed out of a lot of money. Thank heavens you asked here, before much more money would have been lost forever....

Stay with this forum. Learn all you can about Savannahs and finding a good breeder.

I'm certain you've been scammed. :( A person with a terminal illness, the kitten was held for an additional fee of $520, and customs emailed you instead of phoning?? Yep, this happened to someone we know... They were scammed in this exact same manner.

Yeah soon as I heard the word customs and courier service I knew it was a scam!! :( I am so sorry!!!
That's a very common scam... You are not going to get a kitty from that person, they will just milk others for as much as they can before they realize they are being scammed. I really hope you aren't out much money...
