Things you wish you knew before buying a Savannah?

Savannahs will definitely keep you on your toes :) My own children are grown and gone, with kids of their own, but I can't believe how many times I find myself saying the same things to my cats that I did to my kids: "Get down off of there! Don't do that! Why did you do that---what's wrong with you? Can't I have anything nice around here? How many times do I have to say 'no'? I told you that would happen if you did that", etc ;)

Anybody listening to me would think I had a bunch of bratty kids living with me. Sometimes I am sure I do ;)

I talk to mine all the time...and it sounds like I have kids, but I do not...although I sometimes feel as though I do.

I still insist that when in the living room Elijah have a cup with a lid. Especially having Kovu now. Yesterday Kovu knocked Elijah's cup off the table (surprise surprise, lol) and I hear Elijah say, "Kovu! Geez louise boy, this is why we cant have nice things!" haha I work with preschoolers and I do find myself talking to Kovu like I talk to my kids at work. lol

LOL! The things kids repeat....at least you know the cats won't....I think ;) So your work with pre-schoolers prepared you well for life with a Savannah!

Ok...so I wish I knew I should have invested in a case of toilet paper instead of just the 12 pack ;) Oh and also remember to check bathrooms before the guests come out with a look of terror on their faces, like they think you have been robbed...hehehehehe ;)
