Not to mention that if you LIVE in New York, Savannahs are illegal and this breeder either doesn't seem to care of is ignorant of this point so not saying much for the breeder in both cases. :confused:- oops saw the bit about NY state- yes different.
Very good reason to HAVE the papers available. The good news is that most shelters or Vets are clueless about the laws regarding Savannahs UNLESS they clearly look like an F1. I was surprised that even the Fish and Game officers were pretty uneducated on all the various state and interstate laws regarding hybrid cat restrictions.

All Savannahs are NOT illegal in NY. That's why they want the papers. Lower gens are legal (Paige would have to correct me- F5 and below?) and NO SVs in NYC.

Savannahs are illegal (banned) in NYC...F5 and later are legal in NY State...so in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island, savannahs are completely illegal.
