Grace
Savannah Super Cat
The first of the drives was a little more difficult because Simon has never been on a drive that long. It was 14 hours about, and he was up and meowing for the first 5 or so. We were very relieved when he fell asleep and he then slept the rest of the drive for 9 hours straight. He used his litter box great in the car! Didn't really want to eat or drink much, especially after he fell asleep.
We got there and he was surprisingly calm about his new surroundings. We kept him in our bedroom for the 10 days we were there and he seemed totally content with it, it is a pretty big bedroom with a bath.
On the drive back he was such a good boy! Fell asleep within an hour of leaving and slept close to the entire time except when he got up to use the litter box.
We are all happy to be back home, I think this trip was good for him to meet a few close family members, and break out of his shell a bit. We discovered he seems to be less shy around women than men. He would walk right up to women that he'd never met, which we haven't seem him do before! Could it be he is growing out of kitten shyness, is that a thing? He is almost 7 months old.
Thanks for checking our trip pics out
