Trimming claws.

I cannot say that Rafiki likes to get her mani-pedi but she puts up with it for the most part. If I go longer than 2 weeks without trimming them, she starts biting them like crazy. She has always had her nails short so I think that she is used to them that way and long ones bug her.
We have 2 F3 and our female will let us trim her claws and the male is the opposite , when our Vet trims his claws she also looks him over for any other future problems.

Wow! Cbain, that is a very interesting cat you got. Nice colorings, quite unique!
He is spoiled silly, the Vet looks him over once month as you see Cody's picture on the wall of the exam room and Connie say's he has many admirers, all with questions, This is my way of showing the Savannah cat to the public, today in the waiting room at the Vet's even the dog owners were impressed with him, our female lets us trim her claws but every 3 months she does a ride along with Cody to see their Vet buddy and get a look over. as Rafiki said, he has a outdoor enclosure and in the warm and hot months the 2 Savannah's want their paws on the ground and they will tell you so, due to the dawn to dusk time they want to spend outside and all the woods around us our cats see the Vet much more than a indoor cat would have to. Thanks for the complement Rascal dad, but we all here know , all Savannah's are very interesting and all are quite unique.

Nail trimming can definitely be a challenge at times, and sometimes it is just better to let someone else 'do the dirty deed' so the cat doesn't associate the trauma and drama of a nail clipping to its owner(s).
