Zeddie's holistic vet is a bit of a hike for us, but was completely worth it. It's about an hour each way, depending on the traffic

We are heading back to the vet this week for a full check up and some more tests. It's concerning the issue has lasted this long, I worry about long term effects to his digestive track. I'm taking him to my kitty only vet to see if we can sort this out further.

If there is a plus side to this AT ALL - it's that he's getting very good at riding in the car. He's so well behaved.

Update! It seems this issue has finally passed with using drontal. We took him back to the vet for another eye issue. We had a full PCR done. A total of $875.80 later I hope to know more.

His phosphates are high but the vet said that is normal with a growing cat. His bun was also high. Anyone know for sure if that's normal in young cats?

Aww Charley. I feed bad that Biz is still having some issues. Continuing to send him love and healing energy

I think those levels can be higher if a cat is on a raw diet rather than commercial cat food... and yes it is possible that a young cat has different levels as your vet says.

Good luck getting answers from the PCR testing then!

He's not on raw right now because of the worms he had. The vets said it wasn't advisable. They do however get a very good commercial diet of Soulistic, Merrick, Wellness or natural balance.

Hopefully he's just still growing, he's a year and and a few months so...maybe...

Despite anything that may be wrong with him he's still a very hyper, muscular little mischief maker - which makes him purrfect.

Phew! Glad to hear that the worm issue has finally cleared up! I hope you see the same for his eye issue in the near future.

I'm not sure about a high BUN in kittens, how much higher was it than normal? BTW, a serval's BUN can be as high as 40, and its phosphorous as high as 11.2; depending upon how abnormal they are, this may be part of the reason these levels are higher in Biz.
