Thanks! He is going in tomorrow morning. I woke up this morning to him having liquid diarrhea and throwing up clear vile. I have him locked in the bathroom so I can monitor him. Poor little guy : (

If you have an emergency clinic in your area, I'd take him in rather than wait until tomorrow. Sounds as though something has been wrong for a few days and it could already be serious. Why take a chance.

I agree with Deborah, kittens can get dehydrated really easily from diarrhea, then go downhill really fast from there - hope the little guy is okay!!

Well another day of being sick... Yesterday we spent 4 hours at the emergency vet. He is on antibiotics, probiotics, etc... His white blood count is really low as well. They also gave him some fluids. He still hasn't eaten since Saturday morning and has not progressed at all so it looks like we will be going back to the vet this afternoon. All he is doing is sleeping, since he hasn't had anything to eat or drink there has been no vomiting or direhea.

How awful. Sorry to hear he is still sick. Did the emergency vets do any tests to determine the cause of the low white blood cell count? Keeping fingers crossed it is just a bacterial infection and that he recovers soon. He'll need fluids for sure if he isn't eating and maybe an appetite stimulant or a feeding tube.

We just left the vet.. They gave him Convenia injection, fluids, and Onsior tablet. We are hoping he will start eating soon. Next step would be to run more tests and take him to a surgery center to put in a food tube. The surgery would be very expensive and hard on him so I'm hoping this will work. Thank you guys sooo much for responding and helping us in this time.

Have you tried offering him a bit of baby food (stage 1 chicken & broth) on your finger?

Do they have any idea why he is sick?
