I'm always leaning towards getting them in as I always want to avoid the emergency vet and hope to not have things happening on the weekend. Also with the last round of illness my cats faced, I was instructed to give them 5ml of water after pilling them. It was pretty easy, and I made note of it as I can always cave man hydrate them a little.

Also, can you share a little more on the raw Riddick was eating? The cooked chicken breast always seems to work best for me when the boys are feeling under the weather and I'm not so worried about buying premium chicken breasts when I'm cooking out the nutrients anyway. I'll save those nickels for when I'm feeding raw and it actually means something.

There is definitely something amiss. I agree with Deborah that it could be something as innocent as an allergy to chicken, but if you have been feeding chicken all along it is less likely (but no impossible) to suddenly spring up now. I would be more worried that he swallowed something that has gotten stuck in his esophagus, stomach, or small intestines so that any food he tries to eat cannot pass and comes back up. If he is still throwing up I would definitely plan a visit to the vet.

Any updates? I would definitely get him checked out if its recurring, to make sure there is no obstruction. He could develop an allergy to chicken if he hasn't gotten anything else, if he has had some stresses and the protein gets in his blood stream too many times.

I had this happen with Zeddie last year....she was having constipation issues as well so when I worked with that her vomiting went away. Symptomatically, I have found slippery elm to help when changing foods as it is a dumulcent and coats the intestines. I just take a pinch and put it in their food....if you overdose it it can cause vomiting, but nothing more serious than that. I've never overdosed it though :)
