That is very small for a cat - of any breed! Did the vet feel he is otherwise healthy? Sounds like you might have a teacup Savannah!

my first was an F2. then got him an F1 friend. as it turns out in my case, my F1 is even more owner-loyal than my F2, who is already very loyal. dj

He is 4 mos old and only weighed 2.12 lbs two weeks ago. She weighed 4.6. He is huge in personality and very vocal. The vet said he may just be a smaller cat. As you can see by his picture he is beautiful.

Your vet may be right, as long as he/she was sure that your boy is perfectly healthy in all ways but weight.... generally speaking I would want a kitten of mine to be a pound for each month of age so at 4 months the F6 female is more on track for what I would expect.

My first savannah was Taj, an F6 SBT followed by Zuri, an F4 SBt and my queen...then I kept Ixas and Cinny, F5 SBT's and will probably be keeping Siri, F5 SBT...an F1 from Amara Savannahs is in my future as a breeder...

F4...if legally allowed I probably would have gotten and F2

F2 I named Savannah is my first SV. She's my pride and joy. I love all my pets but she is special.

Our first and only Savannah is an F4 male we adore. Hopefully someday adding an F2.
