I have found that all of my cats have responded best to names with an "ee" sound at the end. If their name does not have it, a nickname usually does. Has anyone else ever noticed anything similar?
I did it by accident Roxy and Loki. I call one I get both. In hindsight I should of seen it coming.

The breeder name named my F5 "Peter" and I knew I would need to change it. My husband and I tossed around names and finally settled on Reever. One, it sounds similar to Peter so he wouldn't be confused and two the Reaver's off the TV show Firefly (and movie Serenity) were wildly destructive. Happy to say my Reever hasn't destroyed anything other than his toys... yet.

Cute name, but give it time, sooner or later savandalism will occur. Sue

Our baby is named Dexter! I had a friend that had a huge beautiful Doberman named Dexter when I was in highschool, and the name always really stuck with me. Then the show Dexter came out, which I am obsessed with haha. Love the character and the TV show, and already really loved the name Dexter, especially when shortened to Dex. The name also means 'skilled' which I thought was suitable for an agile, intelligent creature like a cat! Overall just thought it was a super cool name lol.

Well, that's him as my avatar. And here's an older picture of him with my yellow lab Sam.
