Why we can't have anything nice...

We have blinds in every room of our house but keep them completely rolled up ;). Tojo has definitely done his share of damage around here. I sooooo want another Savannah buddy for him but we have a pretty nice home and hubby is sure it would be double trouble so for now our dog is his friend/victim until we downsize or finally just give in...

We have what I would call I pretty nice home too.

I have replaced some of the blinds in the house with plantation shutters (Mickey got his paw caught in blinds last fall, and panicked, so we took sissors to them - he is our expensive kitty), and I have a few windows that are just light on window treatments.

We've lost a wine glass or two, and a couple of pieces of crystal, but mostly our cats do just fine. I find that if I stay on top of my obligatory toy purchases and play time, and be aware of what I am putting where, they are less likely to tear around the house and break things.

SV teach you the value of laughter rather than consumption. They also teach you the importance of putting things away and de-cluttering. Thats what I tell myself when they break something I have left out or chew something I have left out that I shouldn't have (mainly shoes. Jarvis likes the way jimmy choo's leather tastes).
