I wonder how lux has a history of violent behavior. Hmmm perhaps when you try to discipline with violence you're setting yourself up. Plus you're teaching the cat violence. I though negative reinforcement spent really work with cats. Similar to Buns. water sprayer and time out can work. but hitting? No not at all, unacceptable.
And Kristin I would have been so angry, that could have cost you your life if she wasn't such a good lioness. Goes to show their character.

I find negative reinforcement does not work with cats at all. Didnt even try it with my bun. Ive done it with dogs...mostly because they care about what you think. Depends on the dog though. My BC was extremely sensitive and it didnt take more than disappointed tone of voice to discipline her...but some dogs take more lol. I just try to outsmart Zeddie with things that bother me...usually works in her favour though :lol:
