Yuki at emergency vet

I have a Highlander that behaved similarly. She loves her food but is very easy going so didn't mind if others butted in. I noticed she started losing weight and was worried for a time, but recently I have also seen her swat at the other cats to stay away while she's eating if she's really hungry, so I know she's getting what she needs if she needs it.

Yuki is at the regular vet today getting examined. Meanwhile Yeti is depressed and mopey.

He'll be happy when she comes home later.

I hope everything checks out okay at the vet, and Yeti bounces back to his usual self once Yuki is home again.

Spoke with vet a few minutes ago. No urine sample yet. They're trying to get her bladder to fill up more, she has a very tiny bladder. Otherwise she is her usual diva self.

This morning during the exam the doctor was complimenting her on how healthy she appears, how her body mass seems just fine and that I should keep trying to squeeze in an extra feeding just for her to help her maintain weight. He didn't believe her weight loss was a health issue, more due to her eating (grazing) style.

Yuki is home. She is now on anti-biotics to help with her "raging" UTI. She is being feisty and telling the boys she wants some space at the moment.

On the way home I went through a fast food drive through and got a plain burger for Yuki. Pulled over in the parking lot, broke it into pieces and gave it to her. I ate the bun while she demolished the burger. I figured she deserved a treat.

Then I let her roam the car while we sat there for about 10 more minutes. Below is a picture showing her in the rear-view at the back window yelling at someone in the parking lot.

Note: I put her back into the carrier before driving home.

Her complaint currently is that Paz has decided now is a good time for a dominance battle. I just told the orange a-hole to stop and that gave Yuki enough time to get away while he was distracted.

Paz normally isn't prone to this type of behavior so I'm not sure why he decided to do so now.
