Yuki is having a rough week

What has Yuki's activity level been as of late? Cats are supposed to be skinny. My two boys are skinny, but they eat well and run all over the place. The paw injury will slowly heal and the activity should get back to normal. My F5 girl has been porkier in the past, but she has been running around playing with Mayhem and has lost a couple of pounds which is good for her.
Keep an eye on it but this is probably a passing thing.

Got to this late...Zeddie is a bit of a klutz, and has made a few jumps and sprained her legs. She got lethargic and stopped eating as well. I got her some Traumeel, which is a natural aspirin. You can't OD them on it, and it worked like a charm. Just put a few drops in her meals and she was back to normal very quickly. Just food for thought if she is still favouring her leg, or she sprains it again

She is anxious to get back to playing like normal. She'll start to do some of her usual antics and then slow it down or stop when she feels difficulty. Her spirits are way up and the weakness is gone. Paz the orange clown misses his favorite chase buddy and has been trying to get Yuki back to playing chase. She isn't ready for it yet and has had to let him know a couple times.

There is an old computer chair that flips over if I sit in it, but the cats love it. Yuki especially loves to climb it and fling herself all around like a squirrel using her claws as the only anchor. She has started that a couple times including this morning, and stopped short of the squirrel imitation, but she was happy as could be getting back to playing with the chair. She was nuzzling, rubbing all over it, and purring up a storm. I tried getting a picture, but before I could bring the camera to bear she had moved on to other things.

Cautionary disclaimer: Aspirin can be very toxic to cats so should only be administered under the care of a veterinarian. I don't know anything about Traumeel but I would be damn sure that the list of ingredients doesn't contain anything that could be harmful to pets. Just because it's homeopathic and labeled "natural" doesn't mean it's safe.

I wouldn't give anything to my cats that hadn't undergone longitudinal clinical trials that were not sponsored by the manufacturer of the substance.

I never use aspirin in animals...don't care to use it for myself either.

Traumeel is safe for all animals, people, children. It is a very common anti-inflammatory and is safer than conventional anti-inflammatories. It is a common alternative, and recommended by holistic veterinarians. It is a mixture of herbs that is heavily diluted. If you overdose (which would take quite a bit) it can result in stomach pain. Herbs are very multi-purposeful, so are often combined to help with a specific issue. The great part is that it also helps with other things, as every herb has primary actions and secondary actions. I wouldn't say Traumeel is better than a personalized anti-inflammatory, but as far as medications go, I would much prefer to be dosing Zeddie with something I know all the ingredients to, as well as their actions. To me, it works, it aided her healing process so she wasn't in pain, and is not something she needs to be on for an extended period of time. A day, maybe two. Herbs really aren't used to take over the system, they are used to get your system back into a working order. They support your body to do its own job.

Of course, you should never take anything if you don't know what it is. Always consult your holistic veterinarian or herbalist for tinctures.

Yuki is now taking the steps like normal. She also gave me a serious head soaking a few minutes ago. She is definitely on the mend.

So glad to hear that Yuki is continuing to improve, and putting on a bit of weight again too!
