Sounds like that was quite a hairy trip you made, very glad you are home safe and it is behind you!
Even more delighted to hear how well the cats are getting along! It's all downhill from here...

Glad you're home Chris and also that the kids are beginning their friendships. I will do mine next week when I am on vacation.

Your trip sounds horrible....glad you are back home safe and sound!

Good news on the progress with your trio; like Deborah, and the rest of us...I am so thankful Ziggy is with you and Carolyn :)

Ziggy pulled an "Elsa" today, or I pulled a "John", depending on your perspective! I, unfortunately, did not have three cameras focused on him...

Carolyn and I decided to have a nice, relaxing, dinner in our back yard with Ziggy and Oni on leashes this evening. Of course, this did not turn out very relaxing, what with the cats wanting to explore and do a bit of hissing at each other. We managed to eat much of our dinner amongst tours of the garden, mainly while the cats gazed at the fish swimming. At some point, Ziggy decided to go towards Oni along the side of the pond. I stopped him and he decided he wanted to keep going, and tried to wiggle backwards out of the harness (which he's never been able to do so far). I gave him some slack and Carolyn reached down to help control him and, poof, he was in the pond! I think he jumped sideways to avoid Carolyn, but it happened so fast that I'm not sure.

The good news is that he can swim fine and grabbed the side and was out in a few seconds. We got a towel and, with much grumbling on his part, got him mostly dry.

He's inside now, dry once again, and sleeping contentedly, apparently none the worse for wear!

Ziggy and Oni took Carolyn and I for a walk today. Ziggy and Oni had a couple of close contacts during the walk with sniffing and minimal hissing. Small steps, but visible progress.

Here's Ziggy, looking like he's had too much to drink at the rotten stump bar:

There's a large fallen tree in the woods wedged at a shallow angle that they love to climb. The high end is easily 9' off the ground. I got a couple of pictures of Ziggy hanging out at the top:

Ziggy decided to jump down from 9' up--surprised us, but he was fine!

By the way, Ziggy's walking jacket and leash are from The Kasbah Boutique. I asked for the reverse pattern of Ziggy's coat and worked with Cynthia to add elastic in the leash. They look and work great! More pictures, including Oni's outfit, soon.

Good golly Miss Molly Ziggy is a uber handsome cat. He looks completely at peace and supremely happy in the last pic. I hope one of these days, I can look at his pictures and not tear up.
