As promised, another picture of Ziggy and Oni together from a week ago:

Oni was sleeping in the chair and Ziggy hopped up and settled down for a nap. They stayed there together for over an hour.

Today all three of them were racing around the house. Oni did some hollering, but continued to play.

Oni grooms Jax a bit sometimes, but doesn't much like his long fine fur. So far I haven't seen Oni and Ziggy grooming each other. If that happens I'm closing the book on socialization!

Thanks! I was going through this series of photos...ok, good, ok, ok, blurry, boring, and then this one. Sometimes you get lucky.

Great photo! Looks like they are trying to pretend that the other is not there, but not quite pulling it off...

That's a fabulous picture, sometimes you just get the right pose at the right time...makes up for all the times you grab the camera and they've shifted from where they were... this is wonderful to see!

Loved the article in SVs Illustrated :)

Oni just came and curled up next to me on the couch while Ziggy was already there. Ziggy hissed a bit, but Oni just stared at him and went ahead and curled up--with backs touching. Then Ziggy sat up, hissed some more and curled up even closer. Low-light picture:

This is the first time Oni's joined Ziggy and me--it's always been Ziggy joining Oni before. And she ignored his hissing!

At some point I think they learn that the hissing is nigh-meaningless.... it's great that they've reached a truce where they can accept they need to tolerate each other to be able to snuggle with the human :)

Agreed on the hissing. Both of them do it on occasion and it's rapidly becoming meaningless.

They even stayed together for a while after I got up.
