Thanks Trish! Yes, losing a baby is so difficult, but at least we tried hard to save them all...it is really difficult with a c-section, because of the anesthesia, which affects the babies...I did not think they would live, as you know...they are little miracles!

The whole floppy kitten syndrome after the c-section scared the crap out of me, Paige! So I know how frightened you were waiting on those babies to come around and show some form of activity. I'm with you all the way- if you need me.

Thanks Trish! I wasn't thinking...of course, the anesthesia had to affect the kittens...the fact that they had strong heartbeats and were breathing well was encouraging, but they did not move...my vet's staff worked so hard to save them as none of them were breathing...

I would have called you...I didn't remember that you had experience with c-section babies...

right now they seem to all be doing ok...mel boy needs to gain a bit more and I will be watching him closely. I feel delirious after 48 hours of no sleep and now sleeping only about 4-6 hours a day...but that is the way it goes...you do what you have to do to save your babies...Zuri is fine

Poor babies I hope they do okay, glad zuri is okay...oh, I could *never* be a breeder, I die inside a little bit every time just hearing about the little babies that don't make it

As for names...........We had a Bengal recently, who was abandoned by his Mum at birth, so we fostered him to a Savannah and her 10 day old litter (he was on the verge of death, stone cold etc and we thought he was actually dead). He survived, the SV Mum (and her kittens), looked after him and he is growing into a big boy (now 4 mths old), at his new home (he had the character and temperament of a SV in a BG body LOL),,,,, and we called him Sonnenblume Second Chance

Thanks Cecilia! The little mel boy is now the worry as he really is not gaining weight I would say it will be a few days before he is out of the woods...yes, it is very difficult to be a breeder, especially when all does not go as expected!

Jo, thanks for sharing! I'm glad your boy is ok and thriving! I love the name Second Chance
