BTW all, not sure if Kat Edge will update... Ziggy was returned to his previous owner today and that owner has contacted Savannah Rescue and the breeder and we will try to work it out from there!

I'm relieved. Sounds as though the original owner has the best interests of the cat at heart at this point. I've no doubt of Kat Edge's good intentions. Ziggy clearly needs an environment where his special needs can be identified and a lot of time and likely some monetary investment made to stabilize him.

If he is given to SV rescue, please keep us updated here. Thanks.

I'm very sorry Kat was unable to work things out with the cat but can certainly understand that one can't allow oneself to be terrorized in their own home. I'm very grateful that Ziggy was returned to the original owner, in a different situation he could easily have been euthanized.

I am very glad that Kat came here immediately for help and advice...and received it. I give her kudos to realizing quickly Ziggy was more than she could handle despite her best intentions, and returned him to his original owners.

I'm sure the right home for Ziggy is out there.

While I think that Kat made the right decision, I am rather bummed as I really hoped that it would work out for both of them. I do think that re-homing a F1 or F2 requires someone with a lot of SV experience. Hopefully Kat will find the right SV for her and come back to the forum.

I'm sure it was very disappointing albeit a relief after the harrowing night she had had with Ziggy :-(

Ziggy apparently was relieved to see his human come to pick him up... was easier to crate than he's ever been and is settling back at home. Hopefully the next home will be better situated to deal with the potential issues.

Definitely! Mojo is an F6 but he hissed and growled thru the first couple of days then seemed to decide he'd just put up with us. Now he greets our 11 year old with meows & head butts (gave a fat lip), hubby gets in on the action before & after work...I'm just a slave but happily serving such a pretty guy! Thank you Trish & Bronwyn!!!!

Oh, hissing is very much a part of their vocab and its stressful for an adult to change households. F1s and f2s have a much harder time of it usually.

One thing about Elsa is that she rarely hisses, and has only growled 2 times... One of them was at the vet when he was trying to give her a vaccination. It seems like some Hiss and Growl a lot more than others.
