Yes, some are more hissy than others... and it's definitely more of an early gen thing. I think they say that Servals have seven hisses ranging from conversation through to "i'm really pissed"...

So far Elsa has on give one version... But she has only hissed 2 times.... I am glad to say that she is a VERY HEAVY PURR Machine... When she purrs, you can really hear it from a good distance.

Rafiki hisses and growls whenever she has either the fur or guinea hen feather toys. She occasionally hisses when she is having her bi-weekly mani/pedi but that just means that we need to take a 30 second time out for some cuddles before continuing.

It sounds like Kat gave it her best, but as we all know, a higher gen cat can be very intimidating when not happy about something, and often requires a very experienced owner to translate what the cat is trying to communicate. I'm sure that rescue will find the perfect home for Ziggy.

I hope they are from some on this site who already have experience. Again, glad he landed with you for rehoming, if ever there was a group who can gauge a good home with the right experience, it is you guys.

Somehow I missed that Ziggy is in SVrescue. I'm sure Brigitte will find him the perfect home. When that happens I hope Brigitte or the new caregivers update us. I'm very curious what changes will occur once the root causes of his behavior are identified and resolved.
