Yup, he is definitely cross-eyed and there probably isn't anything you can do about it. Since your breeders seems a bit of unbelief I would ask your vet to give you a copy of his progress note and send it both to her and her vet. Your other option is to take him to a kitty ophthalmologist to see if there are any options to help correct his strabismus.

Thanks Mrs. CC! We have our first vet check up today, so I'm definitely going to be asking them for their opinion. I did a little more research and found it could effect his peripheral vision and balance. Which would make a lot of sense, because I find him to be very jumpy when you come up next to him or toss a toy from the side, and he seems very clumsy for a cat. I had been attributing the clumsiness to him being only 12 weeks old, and that might be all it is, but I think it could also be his vision. I appreciate your suggestion!
You're welcome, ericaaa! I'm not trying to downplay your concern over Angus' clumsiness as some of it could very well be a result of his visual situation, but Triton had many uncoordinated moments when he was younger, too. He is more surefooted now, but still has those moments on occasion. He's only 9 months old, so I'm thinking the older he gets, the more graceful he'll be. I hope your vet has some helpful news for you!

My breeder feels she was completely honest with me. She must have never looked him straight in the face I guess! She & her family really care about Angus, so I don't see her doing anything malicious when it came to homing him.
So we have accepted our little man for how he is! Maybe he'll grow out of it, maybe not. But as long as he's healthy and happy, we're happy!
He is 12 weeks & 3 days old at 3.4lbs. Hopefully he'll be a big ole boy for us one day!

Angus has been home for over 2 weeks now, (hes 14 weeks old) and he has definitely changed the mood of our house! We laugh more, are much more entertained than from just watching tv, and we have someone extra to love tremendously!
He is becoming more and more brave and agile everyday... Which can be a scary combo! But he's hilarious and has definitely brought a new joy into our home.
We have a issue with him wanting to bite and scratch when he really gets into playing, but we try to just stay out of his way & make loud noises when he does it so he knows it wasn't ok. We also use a spray bottle to try and keep him in line as much as possible! He also has a fascination with pouncing on my face & head.. No claws.. So right now it's cute but I'm worried how it'll feel when he's 10lbs heavier! Lol
I added some updated pictures included the cat tree we've been building... Still under construction, but Angus loves it already! Sorry for the long update! It's been too long!

Angus is beautiful. I love that you are enjoying him! They certainly have a way of getting under our skin and into our hearts and nothing else compares to how much fun and joy they bring us :)

You are smart to nip in the bud right now any face biting or scratching...you can also try scruffing him firmly and setting him down with his back away from you and walking away from him for a while. You are not rewarding the behavior, and he will learn that is not acceptable....and make sure he is getting enough to eat during these heavy growth periods, even feeding him extra if he seem hungry. I once had an F4 kitten that started biting during play and a wise person told me he was probably hungry, and extra food really helped with ending that, along with the scruffing :)

And...I love the tree you are creating! Please share more details on the material and construction!

I wanted to reply about your kitten biting and scratching when he plays. When my sv was a kitten every time he started to play to rough. I said ouch real firm and he would relax and be nice. He is almost three now and he still knows to be nice. Also anything he gets into or when he picks on the other cats I say No and he stops. He's a good boy , I could talk about bonsai all day. I hope that helps.
