Am I My Savannah's Pillow?

Jarvis didn't let me pet him, cuddle him, snuggle with me, or sleep with me for what felt like a very long time.

He is 2 1/2 now.
He started by sleeping at the end of the bed, next to Michael, then edged closer and closer to me over several months.

Now, I spend almost every night with Jarvis cuddled against me. He gets under the blankets, which took a while to get used to, and he cuddles right next to me. He likes to have his head petted and his chin rubbed. He also likes belly rubs. He hates it when we touch his back though.

Give it time. They may come around to snuggles. Jarvis has come so much further than I ever thought he would.

Yes, you are absolutely your Savannah's pillow.

Here are some pics of Zahra, our F2B, from 7 months to her most recent at 9.5 months.

So loving.

Honest to goodness we hit the Savannah Cat jackpot. She is only affectionate on her terms - but her terms are pretty good as far as Savannahs go. About 40% of the time she will slink her belly to the ground if you try to pet her and 60% of the time she'll accept affection. She is her most affectionate at night when it's time for bed always having to touch a human. When ZahrasHuman (her owner) comes home from work Zahra always jumps into her favorite chair and does a spin with a loud meow as a greeting.

Typically, the more active Zahra's mood the less she likes affection with the inverse also being true.
