Bonnie did a healing on Thursday. She called me before she started and basically told me to make sure things were quiet and not to pet Rafiki. We ended the conversation. When she started, Rafiki went into the lump position where the legs are tucked under the body. She went from the sun spot to the entrance to the catio and back to the sun spot. Each time, her body position was the same. Her eyes were more or less closed and she slowly moved her head back and forth. After about a 1/2 hour, she yawned 4 times in a row and completely stretched all the way to her toes the way that only a savannah can and came over to me. I knew that Bonnie had broken off contact.
Afterwards, Bonnie talked to me again about the nutrition. She repeated what foods are good for a stressed out liver (white meat instead of thigh, low fat, beef, rabbit, cod, etc.). She also recommended canceling the vet appointment for Saturday if Rafiki was feeling better to avoid stressing her out further. I will have a follow up conversation with her on Saturday.
Since Rafiki started feeling better on Tuesday, it is difficult to determine how effective the healing was. Rafiki is definitely radically improved today as compared to a week ago. But why? I just don't know.
