Yeah a big boy. Not well socialized as he had came from someone who had him caged. I remember that he would look at you with a bit of indifference and also made a huge leap from the floor to a suspended bed I was in the process of thinking how would he get up there.

Not sure if he is or ever was a part of their breeding program. He was also the only cat they had that when someone services the space, they don't turn their back on him. The only person the big guy took issue with was the owner who by default had to do any invasive kitty maintenance. The other large Serval they have, I would estimate at about 40lbs, and I guess they have another one on the way being sociallized at the home of one of their employees.

Just an awesome place to visit and very cordial while I've been there.

I didn't take any, but I think I can grab some from my sister who did. Silly, but as much as I know about photography and it being my field, I rarely take a picture with anything other than my phone and then not much at all.

Monte spent his first weekend free roaming. A little bit of challenge given when he and Chongo want to play cops and robbers, but all went well. No more of Chongo pinning Monte, as he can pretty much escape on his own and no more Monte pleas for help or surrender. Still much to sort out between the two of them, but they are very much buddies.

As for the other cats, Chongo has followed Monte's lead and pretty much leaves them alone. First time ever Chongo hissed at our girl, but just kept going by. Usually it would be the other way around and that was an invitation for Chongo to Jump on Pixie's back and see how long he could hold on. Definitely some relief for Pixie, and the first time Chongo has hissed outside of his first introduction to Monte.

Far too many antics to share between Monte and Chongo, but the basic premise is Monte wants to do everything his big brother can. Usually doesn't work out, but he is very determined. The wind sprints through our home are divided up with a 50/50 split of who is chasing who. It can change in a heartbeat when one of them corners the other, then reverse who is chasing who.

The best thing is they have very deliberate plans to lead the other where they can't navigate. Chongo always opts for the high route where Monte doesn't have the legs yet to obtain and Monte always go for the low bridge leaving Chongo in many Wile E Coyote moments. Great fun and very entertaining.

If you are going to steal the name "Nifty", I'm glad someone will get to use it for their cat. The wife wasn't going for it, Deborah, the mean spirited oft intoxicated moderator, chastised me for it and any time you let someone know you are fumbling with naming a pet they will taunt you with something that isn't the front runner. I still call him Duster and Nifty often as he answers to anything, but he is certainly the minx's little Monte.

Oh and of course I jest about Deborah being mean spirited.;)

Mayhem, being the last one into the pride, turned out to be the best thing for the oldest F5 who likes a round of lick and kick every now and then. Rascal is a very gentle cat who doesn't want to hurt anything except chipmunks. Though it is very interesting to see the interplay between the brothers. My sons were the same way when they were young. The youngest always annoying his older brother.
Always good to add another SV. You won't regret it.
