Not exactly sure. In an ideal world I would have liked a melanistic Chongo. So I'm hopeful his personality is as big and the damage left in his wake is smaller.

Wow, Nifty is so cool! I have seen some Melanistic kittens before and Mystique sister is Melanistic. But wow, look at how beautiful your boy's spots are! They show nicely even with his dark fur! Gorgeous. Lucky Chongo!

Mels are wonderful! As kittens, the spots are usually more noticeable but they are often blended away when the cat grows into an adult. Very few retain their pattern, except in certain light.
