Still at the vets. Still on IV for fluids. Initial blood panel showed some irregular liver results which they said can be consistent with being dehydrated. Has only eaten a little and they would like to keep her overnight again on drip. Suggested an acid reducer and anti nausea, they are undecided on giving Flagyl, still discussing. Waiting on the GI blood panel results. Next step will definitely be to schedule ultrasound just hoping to stabilize and get her appetite up.

Wow, I'm so sorry...but sounds like she is in good hands. Hopefully the GI blood panel will yield some results as well as the ultrasound, so at least you know what the problem is.

I just went to go visit her and she's so much better than she was yesterday. Much more energy and super happy to see me. Not easy for her to prance around with the IV line on her leg but she managed to repeatedly headbut my hand for more snuggles, more surefooted and not wobbly. I realize there are still things to figure out but the fact she's not getting worse is a big relief. Hopefully by tomorrow AM with some more fluids in her, she can come home.

This very well may be a gastrointestinal upset and she may bounce back very quickly. The antibiotics may have kicked in and the fluids helped it along. I am hoping the baby is eating like a horse for you tomorrow. If the tummy isn't right she is not going to eat;>)

Brought her home yesterday. Antibiotics, Pepcid AC and hypoallergenic food until the ultrasound. She refused to eat the hypoallergenic food but cried when she smelt and saw our food, if i opened the pantry or fridge. I broke down and fed her a sensitive stomach food that she apparently liked the smell of. Yet last Wednesday she tore apart the bag to get to the hypoallergenic. Not sure why the change in taste Trying to follow instructions, but she's gotta eat and hadn't for about 36 hours. Inhaled the 1/4 cup I put down last night and in the AM. In fact I pulled her back to slow her down. No bowel movements in a few days, but has been urinating. I have that pesky thing called a job which pays for all these vet visits and has my schedule full this week so she be having the ultrasound next Monday. Hope to maintain or improve current condition in the mean time.
