Could anyone tell me (yes pics are not that great) if this supposed F5 Savannah has any real problems , face shape , markings, etc from these pics. It's about 25 minuets from me. Still trying to figure where it came from. Is it worth looking at from what can be seen in pics and worth the trouble of trying to contact original breeder
Supposedly a year old. Which brings up another question, Bobtail don't mature till 2-3 years, how long for a Savannah?

I can think of one reason you might want the paperwork... you have an F1 right? You might need some day to prove he IS a Savannah and not a Serval. Don't laugh, people get them mixed up. I had a situation here in San Francisco where I had homed a large Savannah girl, she got into an altercation while on a leashed walk with an unleashed dog and the dog's owner called Animal Control saying there was a Serval. The AC officer turned up at the owner's place and he promptly called me for help. I had to go down to AC with her registration papers to prove she was a domestic cat. I showed the officer pictures of a Serval and pictures of Katie and he could tell me the differences, but he still wanted a copy of her papers to prove it as the person making the complaint was kinda hysterical about it. Attached is a pic of the cat in question.... and the dog in question was a labrador threatening her new daddy...
Looks like a killer to me, LOL! ;)

I don't know that the cat is a good Savannah, if you compare it to the Breed Standard, to me I see a lot of Bengal. But if you are simply looking for a cat for your program, which is not to produce show-quality Savannahs then your criteria for selection should not necessarily be for a "good" Savannah. I see small ears and a big muzzle, neither of which we want, but for a bobtail-like cat program maybe that is a good thing.

Curious as to that also. I have 2 cats that I contacted TICA about, all they did was confirm they were registered. I have the actual registration number to only one of them. The other they looked up by cats name, cats parents and breeder. But never offered any means as to getting pedigree. I have emails from breeder I sent with pictures where she confirms it was their cat originally. And where she admits to selling it without a contract.
It is interesting to me that both cats were sold originally with no contract, or should I say 'completed' contract in the case of the one where I have registration number. There is no agreement to have them spayed. Do I have to get a lawyer to obtain papers?

I'm not quite following what you are saying, but if these cats are registered you need to get the blue slips or the registration papers from the previous owners (depending on if they are litter registered or individually registered). I'm rather surprised that TICA would even give you a registration number without proof of ownership, but I do believe you need to be the documented cat's owner (e.g., your name is on the registration papers) to order a pedigree.

I am saying, cat number one, I have a 'contract form' that was used as nothing but a bill of sale with the registration number on it, cats name and parents of the cat, a letterhead stating the breeders address etc.No signed agreement.
Cat number two, is 2 1/2 - three years old was a breeder, that a cattery sold with no contract whatsoever, period.
They sold to a guy that had it a few weeks, couldn't handle the problems it was having and he sold it to me.
The latter is the cat pictured in my avatar.
The breeder has had email contact with me on several occasions and is saying she would like me to spay her, not happening. She admitted selling her without a contract. But I had a haul with her because of parasites and an upper respiratory infection and the fact she was emaciated when I got her, pretty good health now. Gaining weigh looking better everyday
