Hey John , I am really glad you got a Savannah kitten and I know will spend many happy years with the spotted flash, my question is have you ever done night vision photos ? I have set of mid 1980's Cold war night vision Soviet binoculars and they work very well but they do have a green cast , A good friend joined Legion Etrangere in 1996 and see's this optic common in African armies today. have you tried NV photo ?
Interesting you should ask that... I worked for ITT (EOPD - Electro Optical Products Division) a long time ago, and yes I am very familiar with them. i was an Electronics Tech. the green you are talking about is from the Green Phosphors that illuminate the dark. The cameras that I use for night vision are not true night vision, but in reality they use IR (Infrared ) Illuminators. This converts the color camera to black and white.
you can see her sleeping on her back... I think Jake may have woken her up, because she moved around again, but has laid back down...
You will note in this image in particular that it appears out of focus... In reality it is not, it is just what the IR illuminators do to it.
This way I do not have to worry about what she is into and know she is safe... I wonder what the chances of her sleeping all night. She has been sleeping now for about 1 hr 40 minutes approx.. I know she had to be tired, but as long as she could see me she was going to keep pushing it.
