I'm so thankful that Elsa has improved, you might never work out what happened of course but it does seem a good time to identify a new regular vet closer to your home! Good luck!

Hate traveling - I was not able to open the test results until just now. Yikes, ALT is sky high. But BUN and Creatine is normal. I would tend to think that this was toxin-related for it to spike that high without the other values being out of whack as well. Toxin would be best case scenario in many ways - you were able to get her to an ER vet and get supportive care including sub-Q immediately. Hopefully whatever it was has been purged and she will continue to do well. Please keep us posted on the follow-up and I will keep you and Elsa in my prayers.

I specifically asked them today and said that they do not believe it was Toxin Based.... I found her a new vet that we are going to try in the morning and will find out what they say... Elsa really is almost back to normal... She carried around one of her mice (Her favorite one), but when I threw did not go after it. She is eating, Drinking, and giving me lots of attention... UGH.. Both of us are sick... I went to the doctor today with a high temp and respiratory infection.
