It sounds positive, and good news that the new vet seems a good option.

What did they sedate her with that she had a difficult waking up to?

If I am reading this correctly it is labeled as "isoflurane". It wasn't difficulty waking up... It was her reflex action during waking up.

Isofluorane is good, I've not heard of cats injuring themselves coming out of that kind of anesthesia before. Hopefully it's not serious...

Not serious... Doctor said many times when they are coming out of they jump around. She was in her carrier and jumped around a lot. May have bruised a mussel according to the doctor... I checked her a few minutes ago and she let me touch that area with no complaints...

Yes this kind of reaction is fairly common when coming out of gas anesthesia, which is why vets like to use an injectable pre-anesthetic (and sometimes during as well) since it tends to soften this type of hyper-reaction to the gas.

My problems with the injections is that she has had too many bad reactions to injections... Just not worth the risk.... She was not complaining this morning, I will check it in more detail tonight.

I totally get that, and the reaction to the gas is typically transient so you just have to watch them as it happens to avoid injury...

To be honest she was pretty bad... She was in her carrier on the exam table and got so violent that I could not hold on to her and set her on the floor and still had quite an effort to hold her down... Was not a pretty site...

John do you have any update on the cause of the illness?

I wish that I did... They have ruled out any sickness or toxin. I was talking to RascalDad and we are thinking that on Saturday night she was playing and jumping around (While she was supposed to be in bed sleeping) and hurt herself... If she hit her liver depending on the angle and caused a bruise that could have caused it and would not have shown up on the Xray's (So I have been told). That would also account for her blood readings coming back into tolerances as the bruise would have healed.... So hopefully it will not be too much longer before she is 100%.
