If the superior court judge gives permission to you to kill your neighbor, does that make it any less a crime??? NO
{shaking head} Gee willikers, Cary! Comparing homicide to TP shredding? I would expect that from a politician, but not you! Also take note there was no malice involved in the said event at the Campbell house.
Perhaps, you may have missed the subtle point of the punishment for the crime of savandalism around here.
Nada, bumpkiss, zip, zero. Because we, as servants, can not met out punishment, as these cats are just too cute, as you well know.
I never complained about Atticus's savandalism,

My alma mater, Salem College for Pet Jurisprudence, provided ample examples of historical punishment handed out to witches.

RD. A law is a law. The only difference is the degree of unacceptability and the punishment. Going through the police academy, we were told by the criminal law instructor, that no law is any more important than another. In my case, I was making an example of comparing the idea of an authority granting permission to break a law, and how distasteful the concept is. In the eyes of the law, there is no difference between illegal parking and vehicular homicide. Between theft of a bag of chips and theft of a military aircraft. Between Savanndalism and terrorism. Just a degree of unacceptability.

Humpffff! JC, your cat is convicted and fined one cat treat. You are convicted of framing a cat. You must eat that treat.

That's called a proverbial slap on the paw!

Cary is an officer of the court. He can press charges. Maybe you need to talk to him about staying out of this!

Elsa says she demands a new trial.... She feels that she had a trial with out representation, and feels the Judge is being unfair with holding a trial when she was not represented which is in her right under Savannah Law.

I am retired. I was just showing the fact that permission to break laws does not excuse the behavior. I see no need to pursue this further. If JC, the victim, does not with to press this, then there is no need to besmirch the good name of Elsa. Let the TP fall where it may.
