No, it doesn't say that you haven't gotten a Savannah. Our breed HAS seen cats with HCM,but most of them were known to have recent Bengal heritage and in some cases those bengals were known to be of a line that carried for the disease.
Your girl does look to have strong Bengal influences and I do believe the breeder (if I am remembering rightly) does use quite some Bengal. To me, it seems some breeders don't see the difference between the "wild" look of the Bengal and the Savannah so think it is a good idea to use BG in our breed. As kittens it can certainly result in flashier coats for the kittens...
Now not all SVs with heart issues have a lot of Bengal heritage and not all Bengals carry for this disease. Just that good breeders in breeds with a certain level of incidence of HCM will then routinely test their breeding stock: Bengal, Maine Coon, Sphynx, Ragdoll...and I sincerely hope Savannah is never added to that list!
I am glad Kitty is eating and pooping now...that reduces the worry on that front.
As to clinics near Sacramento... not sure which direction out from that city you are... but there is a planned HCM clinic in Santa Rosa in April. Let me know if you want the information on that. I have an email somewhere about it. It's not a cardiologist I am familiar with personally, but I know some Maine Coon and Bengal breeders that say she is fantastic.
