Yeah, it's definitely a long trip to pop by a show! I'd see if there wasn't anything else you might want to do in the area and call it a weekend trip

They do still use Bengals, but so do many others...where did you get your info about the SBT's? I have only seen that info on their website...

From the new breed reports that were sent to Carol every year from TICA. Since I was the person who wrote the reports for Carol I had access to the reports.

Where do you see that SE still use Bengals with their Savannahs? I know that they breed Bengals but don't see any Savannah kittens with Bengal sires listed. BTW, not every Savannah has Bengal in its background - just ask Margitta!

I didn't say the majority were overseas but on the tica cat show list under savannah cat info a lot of them are. Right now im in tallahassee but for the whole summer ill be in Miami. I think I saw one in orlando at some point but it wasn't in the near future.

Also, the quality of cats at A1 and SE are excellent, I wasn't suggesting otherwise in my previous post. Clearly their business model works but that doesn't mean I have to agree with or pay for a kitten from them.

These two cameras have the exact same functionality. One has the Sony name on it and the other has Hasselblad. The Hasselblad carries a price point in excess of 5x as much and was a huge joke amongst professional photographers. Meanwhile Hasselblad is laughing all the way to the bank as the professional photographer is clearly not the intended market and those buying them don't think anything about dropping the extra coin. If they were buying a cat they are more than likely an SE or A1 customer, as bigger must be better and a tag like "elite" plays right into their ego.

You are right to question, I should have validated my statement when I first made it. You are not being cynical - I question many things I read or hear about, most of the time I just keep my questions to myself

You're still suggesting I doubt their model works. It clearly does, there was no need for the story about the camera, I understand how the world works. If people can spend 23 grand on a cat then they will. I had more written but I don't want to start anything. Plus john is a worthy adversary so I would have to really work

You know, if I remember correctly we never saw the outlandish prices on Savannahs until the Ashera cat was brought to the playing field. I guess some Savannah breeders figured if Simon Brody could get away with renaming and selling F2 Savannahs at exorbitant prices they could too. And why not? If people want to pay that price who's to stop them? All we can do is try to educate people and be ethical in our own practices.
