My F4 Zuri hisses like this...but in my experience, many cats hiss..just maybe a matter of what the hiss sounds like

If I'm correct Savannah hiss during play & the Serval uses hissing In the wild as a form of communication watch this video you will hear F5 Savannah Zack hiss during this play fight:
Your question was "Do any of your cats hiss as some high percentage Savannahs tend to do this." Not do they hiss more, or hiss like a Serval. But kittens when play fighting will hiss at each other, playing "bad kitten" etc. Servals are known to be hissy cats so sometimes an early generation Savannah may tend to hiss more as conversation and you need to read body language to have more of an idea of what they mean. If the Savannah hisses but the ears are forward and up and the whiskers are forward then it doesn't mean the same as when a cat is threatened and hisses where the ears are usually to the side or back.

Zeddie hisses at my sister's dogs all the time. She will just be walking past them, and look at them and hiss quickly as she keeps walking haha

Learning to ignore Ra hissing, who must get this from his Mau side, when playing chase or wrestling was the single hardest thing as a parent to overcome. Two male siblings, same breeder, completely different personalities and penchant for play.

Even after 4 years and change, a hiss still draws my attention every time which might be exactly why he does it. Anubis instigates to play all the time, even when I'm not there, and adding an active SV girl only split the attention, instead of truly refocusing it.

I don't see anything wrong with hissing however If it was In a aggressive way then I wouldn't like it.

Do any of your cats hiss as some high percentage Savannahs tend to do this.
Shango (35%) hissed only twice the 2nd day I got him. Not a peep since then!

Amaury (56%) hissed a few times the first day or so. Same thing, no more hissing since then. He does make all sorts of other oddball noises:). He's an anxious guy, if you hold him, he makes these Serval-like chirps/barks telling me he wants to go explore so please let me go! He's non-stop action right now.

I think it will be really cool if you can revisit this thread in two years time and describe your F1 and F2...
That's a great idea. I expect there will be some behavior change as they mature. I don't know, but I suspect Amaury to become slightly more dominant than Shango as he gets older. Shango's just such a good natured cat! He cleans Amaury every day for instance...
