Interesting, Dino oft does the same thing and efforts to sway him gets those crazy eyes going. Once I stopped trying to block his lunging attempts, he also in kind stopped leaping at me so aggressively. Being on the defensive was clearly letting Dino know that we were testing our bounds while just letting him go was a slight slap of the pads without the claws extended.

I'm not suggesting I know what goes through their heads, but there are some fine lines in what they do as playing and what they do to measure others in the household.

Oh and by the way the first time you let a fairly large cat jump at your head without impeding them in any way is pretty scary, but once you get over that hump your definitely in the best buddy club.
