Cute! That's exactly what my F3 does, too. Try chasing him a few feet, then running away and hiding around a corner ... then jumping out at him when he gets close ... then let your cat do the hiding ... tons of fun!
One thing I've been doing to train him is I won't play like that unless I initiate it ... if he does I ignore him. Hard when a cat is running at your face, but, it works. Also, though it's intimidating to have a cat running full speed at you, you probably don't need to put up your hands. My cat, Cyro, will normally touch noses and run his face along mine after charging, but never hurts me.
Also, Cyro automatically keeps his claws in when playing with me (another reason I'm not scared anymore when he runs at me), but gentle biting is a problem, so, I'm teaching him it's ok to bit his toys, but not me. Even if he's just playing it's not allowed.
