i brought him home at 10 weeks, i dont know man my sav seems just fine hes all over the place playing and jumping haha ive toted him all over everywhere and hes spent the day at just about all my families houses, he did great no accidents, no skiddishness or anything so based off this cat id say 10 weeks is fine....unless theres some breeder known health risk that says otherwise...but mentally the cats are good to go imo

It depends on the cat. Not all are ready at 10 weeks. I won't ship one that young however. I like them to have at least 2 vaccines. Breeders just start giving vaccines early (5 weeks) to get around that however giving them early doesn't provide immunity early. If anything, it will compromise their immune system in later years. Recent studies are indicating that allergies and autoimmune disorders may be connected to vaccine protocol. Even TICA recommends 12 weeks.

Thanks...I'm a first time dad with Savannahs and cats in general...so I just want to do the right thing...I dont want to get him home early and have him get sick, looking for an easy transition for my baby boy...My wife has orchids in the house on the kitchen counter top, will the cat destroy them or plants in general?...Thanks

Hes a very pretty kitten. And live plants dont do well with savannahs. SV's looks at plants as something to play with and munch on. Welcome to tthe life of a savannah owner. Its full of excitement thats for sure. Wouldnt have it any other way!
