Love hearing that Rifiki's appetite is now ravenous - sounds like she's making up for months of going without...

 

[Rafiki]

Rafiki continues to do well. She scratched the scab off the right ear on Tuesday and made quite the bloody mess. It figures that she chose my side of the bed to do this on. But the new scab looks good and her ears no longer seem itchy or sensitive. I have been able to shove the antibiotic pill into the freeze dried duck fillets so at least pilling her is not a chore. Well, except for the Denamarin.....that pill is too big to stuff into anything other than a pill pocket and she still will not eat those so she gets that one the old fashion way.

Today we moved the table and ottoman out of the living room to give Rafiki a larger area to play and go nuts. Poor Jammu is now remembering what it is like to live with a Savannah. She has been playing pretty rough the last few days and I have heard several squeals from him. I am hoping that the extra play time with wand toys will mellow her out a bit.

Today Rafiki wanted to shower me with kisses. I told her "No tongue!" as she has a bad habit of French kissing. Well, today she substituted teeth. I now have to lovely slices across my top lip. Bad kitty. Now I know how Jammu feels!
