Finding a cattery

I can wait...I'm just anxious to have my own fur baby.

LOL. I think you need to stop and take a breath. As others have said, kitten season is coming up and finding the right breeder with the right kitten is more important than filling a burning desire for a SV. Please trust me on this one. Getting an SV from the wrong breeder may get you nothing but trouble for your money. It takes time to establish a relationship of trust, which has to go both ways between buyer and breeder. You have to know with as much certainty as possible that the breeder has a reputation for producing healthy kittens who are well socialized. It takes time.

I first started on the yahoo groups -- savannah cat pets and savannah chatter -- and during 2 yrs saw seemingly reputable breeders turn into nightmares. Thanks to my exposure to so many breeders there, I came away with a short list of those I knew were trustworthy (many of them are members here).

And there is a benefit to waiting in that you can save a bit more money and have a bigger pool of kittens from which to choose.

You get to know who you want to buy from and who you don't. Waiting if you are learning and listening at the same time is a major advantage.

Can someone explain the difference between the three silver colored boys? One is really light but I can't tell a difference between paki and akuchi. They're beautiful. Tinashe is the lighter

They cannot legally have an F4, so I'm not sure how they would get F5s...I will not comment any further...

Pam Flachs has a wonderful 5.5 mos old named Avery. He is an F3B. We are interested in him, but there are extenuating circumstances. She is in central Michigan. Have you checked him out? Gorgeous. But I may fight you for him.... Lol.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Kittens will look different just like siblings look different...

Pam's boy is gorgeous...I did mention her in an earlier post because she is in Michigan and close enough to visit.

Ny state bans Savannahs from f4 and earlier...if their queens and studs are F5, then kittens will be F6.

NYC bans all Savannahs...I gave you my email address in an earlier post :)
