I saw that post. Just had to reiterate what a doll he is. We are still very interested in Avery, but my husband is having back surgery in a few weeks. The associated complications with that are holding us back, well holding him back. I'm ready to head to MI now.

I've gone through all the links on here and struck out on finding a savannah under 1800.

I live up in northwestern wi. Anybody know of any others off the grid? (Not listed)

Savannahcat.com may have catteries in nearby states...

I thought I only said the queens and studs were f5s. I did mention the different generation I could afford.

Not to worry...you did not mention they had F5 kittens...someone else did...it is tedious finding the right breeder and kitten, but you are doing a great job of asking questions and researching...Just be patient and you will find a kitten that you can't not have

I have an F4 and an F5 boy who were both less than $1800, including shipping to NJ, neuter, and microchip. My F5 boy is melanistic, and my F4 boy is non-standard (the little guy in my avatar).
We had a deposit down and looked at kittens for about 4 months before deciding to buy our first SV boy, our F5 boy Diablo.
Keep your eyes open and I am sure you will find the right kitten for you.
Do speak to the breeder you choose about what you are looking for.
I know they may be out of your price range, but there are a couple of breeders here whose kittens have pretty fantastic ears that may be worth saving up for
