Food help please...

Nitro

and his servant, Paul
mollie, I have two Bengals which had digestive issues from the moment I got them, and I got them stabilized by supplementing their food with some pumpkin. The extra fiber helped them.

The only downside is I now go through around one can of pumpkin a week for the two of them.

When i got my 2 Bengals i had them switched to 100% raw by the 2nd week. Just started mixing it in with the canned food the breeder gave me and just slowly used less canned and more raw. no issues at all with the transition. i plan on doing the same when i get my SV.

You can find beef & chicken hearts & chicken livers in most grocery stores as well as Mexican & Asian markets. Butcher shops too, if there's one near you.

Yeah i get mine at the Asian super market near me. I feel weird checking out. all i have is chicken hearts, chicken livers and quail. the person checking me out must think i have a weird diet lol.

Deborah would be be okay to just offer her the blue buffalo wet food like once a week or something? I like her more on dry food - the only thing I've seen against dry food is that it can potentially cause crystallization's in the bladder or something like that because of not enough fluid but that apparently happens rarely... What have you heard about an all dry diet?

Here's excellent info re: dry food. http://www.catinfo.org/docs/FEEDING YOUR CAT 8-10 Short 2-12-10.pdf When you have time, read her intro about how she became an advocate for proper nutrition. Good stuff. At the end of the day, you have to do what fits your beliefs and lifestyle. My preference would be at the very least, 1 meal per day of canned.

And her brother Crazy !
I have a question about transitioning from kitty dry food to adult dry food. Katniss and Crazy will be a year next month, so do I need to do the slow transition of adult food with the kitty food as if I were changing brands?? or since it is the same brand it doesn't matter?? Thanks.

I would still transition gradually by adding some of the adult diet to their regular food and increasing with the new food gradually over a week or two until they have been transitioned completely onto the new.
