She is not at all amused, but then again he has only been here since Tuesday night. She got to go to the pet store today, so that made her happy.

Thor's lump looks like an abscess now...I saw the scratch on it this morning and then it burst in a wave of pus :sick:

I will have the vet take a look tomorrow. In other things aren't going his way news, instead of diarrhea, he hasn't :poop: since Friday night o_O
Poor lil guys is having quite the rough couple of weeks.

Glad the lump was just an abscess. Maybe that is part of the no :poop: problem.
I am sure if she would just "breathe" she would find him as adorable as we all do. Then again, he is taking some of her sevant's time away from her.

That is the problem. She doesn't like sharing, and with 7 kids in the house now, my attention Tia and Zeddie are both feeling pretty upset. Once Thor is on solids and using the litter regularly, everything will even out. He isn't staying here forever, which I'm sure they are worried about haha

Your babies are lucky to have you. :) I am sure they know that. Probably why they want you all to themselves. And Thor is a little boy, who they probably view as trouble. ;)

It's not uncommon for bottle raised kittens to go through back and forth with diarrhea then constipation - I always wonder how those who routinely bottle raise their kittens deal with it. You can palpate the belly, if you feel hard stool in there that he's unable to pass your vet may want to give him a kitty enema. If the belly is soft perhaps you can just add some fiber such as psyllium to his formula to help pass the stool.

As for the abscess, if it is all external and has been completely expressed there's a chance Thor won't need any antibiotics. BTW, has he had any vaccines yet?

An abscess sounds much easier to deal with than some of the things that came to mind when you mentioned lump. Lets hope that it simply drains on its own and all is good. We need an emoticon with crossed fingers.

My grandmother loves to get into my medication and throw stuff out...unfortunately my psyllium fell victim to her :cautious:
I will make sure I buy more tomorrow. His belly does feel pretty hard...I will get the Drs to look at it in the morning.
His lump has a decent sized hole in it, and is draining. Hopefully antibiotics won't be needed. Poor Thor has been through the ringer.

I don't think he has gotten any vaccines yet. He hasn't been healthy enough yet. At what age do they usually receive their first set? 6 weeks?
